Festival Guest: Samuel Douek
Raised in Mexico City, Samuel Douek moved to Sydney at age 23 to study before founding the successful Hola Mexico Film Festival (HMFF). Relocating to America and launching his festival there, HMFF has now been running for 5 years in Los Angeles, California. Australian audiences familiar with Samuel’s curation style that allows viewers to experience the unique walks of life that characterise Mexican identity and culture will not be disappointed by this specially curated section of the Cine Latino programme.
